Adriano . Brazil = was a mean 86kg at the World cup but reportedly weigh more than 100kg now. The hitman is now looking more like an overweight, lumbering one-hit wonder. Ballack . Germany = had a decent world cup but almost non-existent at stamfort bridge. looking nothing like the midfield maestro he was trouted by the germans. Buffon . Italy = world cup winning goalie who allegedly was invovled in the serie A match fixing scandal. i would not even trust him to keep in goal for my team. Cannavaro . Italy = world cup winner skipper of italy. real madrid star... holds the proud record of not receiving a yellow or red card at the world cup in germany. THAT IS BECAUSE HE HARDLY PUT IN A TACKLE. C.Ronaldo . Portugal = a winger who is well versed in all the footballing tricks in the world. including diving and winking to get opponents sent off. Cech . France = tend to disappear during big matches. did not impress during world cup. Kaka. Brazil = gifted midfielder who will be world player of the year IN THE NEAR FUTURE. but not now. Klose . Germany = scored with a burst at the world cup and finished with a whimper. apparently afraid of taking on bigger challenges, hence snubbing moves to bigger clubs. prefer to be a big fish in a small pond. Lahm . Germany = i can name lots of right sided fullbacks who are better than him. Gallas, Sagnol, Neville, Zambrotta etc. Lehmann . Germany = good keeper but inconsistent. won fight to keep No 1 jersey but always in danger of losing it to oliver kahn. Nesta . Italy = out of action during world cup group stages. and never play in the build up to the world cup triumph. Pirlo . Otaly = tall and elegant midfielder. but not exactly the class of zidane. Ribery. France = played jus a handful of games for france and he got into the list? what did he do other than scoring against spain? Riquelme . Argentina = not bad, but was overshadowed by tevez, messi, and rodriquez in germany. Ronaldinho. Brazil = where was he at the world cup? his star was strangely muted at the tournment. was a shadow of his brilliant self in this new season. Rosicky . France = played alongside makelele, he looked like an apprentice. good player but not good enough to win the award. Zidane .Retired = would have won the world player award and maybbe the world cup too, if he had not lost his head. instead he used it as a battering ram on a foul-mouthed italian and got sent off in a world cup final. unbelieveable footballer but to have his name here is a farce.
