Monday, June 18, 2007/ 11:14 PM Hillary Challenge Phrase 1 hahas. its over. hillary challenge phrase 1 is over. and i have been sleeping for the past 5 hrs. xD To start off the day, i saw jiajun.Toh on the bus while going over to the CCAB. Apparently, we were the earliest (: and we were told that the briefing will start only at 8am, when the instruction was teams to be arrived LATEST by 7.30am. Hais, so there this crop up going on, a lot of ppl dun have medical checkup, which means they are not allowed to swim nor run today. The auditorium was small, and the officers were talking rubbish inside. so we have to do a 50m swim be4 going to run a 4.8km. Our grp is team 2, but since team 1 all dun hav medical cert, we will have to swim first. OMG! we are the first team to swim when so many ppls are on the stands. and i cant see anything at all without my specs. hu CARES, my swim was slow yet steady! haha! 8 lanes just nice for 8 ppls. except jiajun.HO nvr did his medical checkup. T.T next was the 4.8km run. we took our own sweet time, and grp 5 started off the run first. lala. so each of us was given a 'electronic' number tag.. izzit? which we were supposed to pin onto our shirts. and the sensor will automatically took down the number of rounds we run, and the timing recorded in the computer. wow cool. and i admit, i was damn freaking nervous before we started off. ok.. off we go. it was pressuring to run just infront of 2 NCC meng guys rite. T.T nvm. my target was to do a below 20 mins run. i chiong after setting off my pace. i was determined. i want to win. i cant slow down, theres no turning back. i encourage myself, motivation was all i needed. it was exhausting, and during the last round of the 12 rounds, i gave it all, u can call it a sprint for all, or in other words, whack! and i was the first to finish partly due to the fact that our grp started off second. there was applause throughout the stands. it feels so shiok. (: with a timing of 20.50min. though i did not reach my inital target, i feel so glad. hahas. Our team did well (: all improved from their previous run practice. think our avg timing is round 26mins. T.T and since we started off first, we got the luxury to slack around till 10.30am. hahas. next is crafting. wahh heng diao. it is grp work. ok so basically is the NPCC and guides hu do the work. xD. i dun even know a stuff. hmm or rather mostly the stuffs. but it was quite nice. xD. we went to peek at our marks, 76/100 (: worse is stability 3 out of 10. HAHA. next is orinenteering/ map reading. it was an individual test. 80 marks. what the hell. correct +2, wrong -1. !!!! where rule is that. ok la. i think all schools flunked this together. xD. like wad. ask those no logic stuff. the date when it was founded, all the lame things. -.-. nvm. still so far so good. lastly first aid. ok maybe if we had somebody from com team over, it will be chicken-feet. first task. each of the members are supposed to locate the stuffs from a whole bunch of first aid items. hahas. ok la at least that can pass. but second task, we are supposed to treat 3 injuries given by the other grp to us. we gave them skull fracture, laceration to the ankle, and burn to the ear. and they gave us spine fracture, insized wound on the wrist, burns to the toes. LOL. sheila and charlton the casualty since they were the lightest. xD. ok. im GGfied now. how am i supposed to treat them. all the funny stuffs come in. we somehow managed to scrap through after numberous hints from the station master. but i think we failed there. xD and last but not least is TOC. ok. that was easy. xD. everything was over by round 1. and the 2 teams from HCI/NYGH met up together. went to corno plza and eat. not enough seating for all 13 of us. xD sat across the walkway and eat, since nobdy walk ther though. and our team went back to school to do on the presenation which will be on thurs. T.T ok lar. i was too sleepy le, or rather tired, that i slept through the whole presentation... think round 30mins-1 hr ba. xD i cannot stand it le. not only my legs are giving way, my eyes are forced to close. ... Yea. we are going to the finals! |
